Charities & NGOs
Introduction
We recognise that people have their own preferred charities/NGOs which they would prefer to support.
For this reason we have included a list of other charities/NGOs {which operate in Peru} which may be of interest to you.
Their inclusion in our list does not mean that we recommend them and we strongly suggested that you do your own research before donating any monies.
"Why"?
Well, corruption is un-fortunately, and possibly understandably, rampant in Peru.
(see "Corruption" on "News in Peru" menu, above)
However, this will hopefully not put you off from supporting them.... just find out more about them; ask to speak to people who have worked there as volunteers or who have donated to the charity. Ask to see their financial accounts!
(I am amazed that some Charities/NGOs are not more transparent when it comes to publicizing not only their audited accounts, but to publish exactly where, when, by whom and on what their money is spent.)
Your support is needed.
Please use our "About: Contact Us" form if you know of other charities/NGOs working in Peru that you would recommend to be added to our list.
