COMIUNESCO have requested us to give FETE courses in Lima schools
COMIUNESCO have requested us to provide FETE courses commencing in 2012 in Lima schools supported by them.
Our courses, Formación Escolar con Técnicas Escénicas (FETE), are based on Patrice Baldwin's Whole Class Drama.
This method uses very structured role play as a learning aid and has been demonstrated
as having significant benefits to children's learning ability.
It is also both "challenging and interesting" for teachers.
María Isabel Miyán de Chiabra, Secretaria General, Comisión Nacional Peruana de Cooperación con la UNESCO,
has also very kindly provided us with a letter supporting our courses. (see below)

Outreach Courses
We have decided to prepare courses in both Formación Escolar Con Técnicas Escénicas (FETE) and "inclusive performing arts" despite not having the benefits of an experienced teacher (we have yet to raise the funding).
[FETE courses are based on Patrice Baldwin's Whole Class drama]
Both of these courses will be given in primary schools in Villa Maria del Triunfo and in schools supported by COMIUNESCO in Lima. The courses will begin in 2012.
Progress on FETE courses: It has been "challenging" (using Patrice Baldwin's Handbook and recording all the courses so that we can review and improve them). We are on target to have 8 courses (based on "El Imperio de los Incas") and 4 trained teachers by the end of the year.
We will shortly be posting videos of our courses.

We are very fortunate to have been offered support by Patrice Baldwin.
"
Please be assured that IDEA (the International Drama Theatre and Education Association) will
support you as an enthusiastic and committed partner if required
".
Patrice is a world leader in Whole Class Drama and she has already been incredibly helpful in a variety of ways.
She is helping us to find a volunteer/practioner with Whole class drama experience to go to
Villa Maria del Triunfo, Lima-Peru to create and run a few courses using Whole class drama.
Patrice is President of the International Drama, Theatre and Education Association (IDEA),
Chair of National Drama in England (ND), Adviser for Arts Development and Improvement (Norfolk, England) and
National Director of Drama for Learning and Creativity (D4LC) in England
